Prayer and Spirituality

The purpose to Prayer and Spirituality is to provide resources for people to find new ways to pray and enrich their spirituality. Below are prayer services coming up in the near future. Please join us.

Domestic Violence Awareness

Wednesday, October 25, at 6:30 pm

We will gather in prayer about ending violence and growing as people of Christ’s peace and justice. Questions? Contact Nancie Chmielewski.

Lazarus Prayer Service

Thursday, November 2, at 7:00 pm

One of the beautiful pieces of our Catholic heritage is the remembering the saints on November 1 and our dead each November 2. As is our tradition at Lourdes, we will once again celebrate the lives of our loved ones who have died this past year. If you plan to join us, please call the Parish Office so that we have a candle for your family. A reception will follow our time of prayer.

An Advent Scripture Presentation

Tuesday, November 14, at 7:00 pm

Advent is a beautiful season for slowing down and reflecting, which most of us struggle with. The readings of this season have a lot to say to us about being attentive and experiencing God’s presence in our lives. The Light that is God’s love and grace is something we all long for in this present time, and is always present, if only we are open and watchful. How might we watch attentively this season? What might attentive watching look like?

Fr. Roc O’Connor is a musician and scripture scholar. He was a member of the St. Louis Jesuits and has composed songs such as “Lift Up Your Hearts” and “Jesus, The Lord.” He is an engaging speaker who understands scripture from a unique perspective. We will meet in the church and a free-will donation is suggested.

Please join us. All are welcome!
